Typical application | Wastewater recycling | Anaerobic-aerobic activated sludge process |
- Easy to expand treatment capacity
- Large retention volume of bacteria due to roughness of surface compounded with carbon fiber
- High wear and abrasion resistance
- High flowability in a aerobic tank
How to test initial flowability
- Add 10 vol% of carrier into aeration tank (1L), which has already control fixed condition of sludge concentration and airflow of aeration.
- Measure volume of floated carrier sequentially. (Flowability starts after carrier is adapted to water and sludge adheres to carrier.)

Advantage of “DiaFellow™ PT”
- Retention volume of bacteria is bigger than other types, because its roughness of surface is higher.
- Initial flowability is better, because its hydrophile is higher.
Effect of CF and GF added
- Roughness of carrier surface
- Increasing sludge volume adhere to carrier
- High strength
- Know-how of fiber length
- Fiber orientation
- Surface interaction
- Increasing flowability by hydrophile
