Signed a Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement with Fukui Prefecture to Build a Sustainable Society

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, a member of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, concluded a comprehensive collaboration agreement with Fukui Prefecture on February 9, 2024, to build a sustainable society.

[Background to the agreement]
The Mitsubishi Chemical Group is a specialty materials provider with an unwavering commitment to lead with innovative solutions to achieve KAITEKI, the well-being of people and the planet. In addition to contributing to society through its business activities, the Group also engages in a variety of activities that foster the next generation, conserve water resources, or otherwise help communities in the countries and regions where it does business.
Fukui Prefecture is actively pursuing comprehensive collaboration with the private sector in all aspects of prefectural governance to achieve the Fukui Prefecture Long-Term Vision. It has been selected as an "SDGs Future City" by the Cabinet Office, and it has identified "fostering the next generation who will lead Fukui's future" as its focus, seeking to create a virtuous cycle of economic, social and environmental development and become a sustainable region.
Fukui Prefecture and the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation decided to conclude a comprehensive collaborative agreement in order to build a sustainable society through collaboration and cooperation.
