Merger of Mitsubishi Chemical Systems Inc.

We are pleased to announce that the Mitsubishi Chemical Group (hereinafter, "our group") has decided to absorb*1 its group company, Mitsubishi Chemical Systems, Inc. (MCSY; Head office: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President: Jun Kato) on April 1, 2023.
As an IT company in our group, MCSY has consistently worked on communication infrastructure, mission-critical systems, and business applications, from consulting to system development and operation, and has provided various solutions.
This time, as part of the transition to a flat organizational structure based on the concept of "One Company, One Team," our group has decided to integrate MCSY into the Digital Division responsible for the IT strategy planning function of our group, and work to unify IT functions in order to create an environment for the global implementation of more rapid and flexible IT and digital measures.
Going forward, our group will continue striving to maximize value for itself and all its stakeholders by building a digital platform that maximizes global business competitiveness through further strengthening and streamlining of system infrastructure.
