C2 Derivatives

Ethylene Glycolpdf

The catalytic Ethylene Glycol production process from Ethylene Oxide was developed by MCC.
This is high MEG selective, energy saving, simplified and environmental friendly process technology compared with the conventional processes. This technology is combined with Shell's Ethylene Oxide process and is licensed through Shell Global Solutions. Several commercial plants have been smoothly operating worldwide.

1-Hexenepdf

This is the process to produce 1-Hexene with the trimerization of Ethylene.
The catalyst system for the trimerization of Ethylene developed by MCC is of the highest level in the world. And with this catalyst system, MCC succeeded in establishing a very competitive process, which can be operated stably. The product through MCC process can be used for the comonomer for Polyethylene

C3 Derivatives

Oxo-Alcoholpdf

These are n-Butanol, i-Butanol, and 2-Ethylhexanol production processes.
These state-of-the-art and environment friendly production processes are based on MCC's broad experiences for over 50 years of development, construction, operation, and maintenance. Quality of Oxo-Alcohols produced by MCC process has high reputation from clients all over the world.

Acrylic Acid & Acrylatespdf

These are Acrylic Acid, Glacial Acrylic Acid (for SAP application), Methyl/Ethyl/Butyl/2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate production processes.
These wide varieties of the most efficient and reliable production processes are based on MCC's broad experiences for over 50years of development, construction, operation, and maintenance. Products can be applied to all derivatives which require strict quality control such as diapers for babies.

Propylenepdf

This is Dominant Technology for Propylene production (DTP) process, developed jointly by MCC and JGC Corporation.
It is the latest technology to produce Propylene from Methanol. Additionally, C4+ Olefin can also be applied as feedstock.

Polypropylenepdf

This is highly functional Polypropylene products (HOMO Polymer, Random Copolymer, Impact Copolymer and Reactor TPO (NEWCON)) manufacturing process from Propylene and Ethylene utilizing unique horizontal reactor system named HORIZONE PROCESS.
This technology is licensed by Japan Polypropylene Corporation.

C4 Derivatives

Maleic Anhydride (MAH)pdf

This is Fluidized bed reactor process featured with stable operation and competitive CAPEX. The technologies established by MCC are remarkable in excellent accumulation of various technical aspects, such as, catalyst development, reactor design, and improvement of operational condition.

1,4-Butanediol (1,4-BDO)

This is a technology for Butanediol production from Butadiene. It is a co-production process of Tetrahydrofuran (THF) with flexible production ratio of BDO and THF. MCC has developed its own State-of-the-art technology and offers this process technology together with high performance proprietary catalyst.

PolyTetraMethylene Ether Glycol (PTMEG)pdf

Based on 1,4-BDO as the raw material, MCC has independently developed this technology. Combined with MCC's optimized reaction system and high performance proprietary catalysts, high-purity THF can be produced. Furthermore, this is the process to produce high quality PTMEG with molecular weight 650-2000, which can be used for Polyurethane, Polyester and Spandex by THF polymerization reaction using highly active proprietary catalysts.

On-Purpose Butadienepdf

This is a brand-new oxidative dehydrogenation technology utilizing n-butenes contained feedstocks such as cracker raffinate (Raf-2, Raf-3), refinery FCC-C4 and 1-Butene produced by Ethylene dimerization. This new technology's excellent features (High yield, Long catalyst life, Less waste water) can definitely reduce the production cost.

Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT)pdf

This technology is a continuous polymerization process to produce a high quality PBT resin form 1,4-BDO and Terephthalic Acid.
With its proprietary catalyst and advanced manufacturing technology, it is possible to manufacture very stable quality resin which has much less amount of foreign substances.
This highly reputed technology has a number of patents in Japan and overseas. Because of its supreme quality, resin produced by this PBT technology is widely used not only for injection molding applications, but also for extrusion applications.

Aromatics Derivatives
