Aesthetic Handfeeling Yarn

A.H.Y.™ is a type of cationic dyeable polyester (under normal pressure) developed by Mitsubishi Chemical’s unique technology.

Vivid Colors

Compared to conventional polyester, A.H.Y.™ has a polymer design that allows dyestuff to penetrate the fiber easily, so cationic dyeing is possible at 100°C . This gives it a brighter color, creating highly wearable and fashionable items , particularly in vivid or fluorescent colors.

Superior color fastness

A.H.Y.™ has superior color fastness, which is harnessed for numerous applications.

Silk-like sheen and texture

A.H.Y.™ eliminates the hard texture of conventional polyester and display delicate softness and an elegant sheen like silk.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

A.H.Y.™ is certified as a class 100 product, which is the strictest class in the Oeko-Tex Standard 1

  • * The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is an international standard that determines limit values for substances harmful to humans to define the safety of textile products.

Applications

[Close]

A.H.Y.™ can be utilized in many diverse ways, as it is made of polyester filaments that are suitable for cationic dyeing under normal pressure.

SWIM WEAR

  • A.H.Y.™ is an ideal material for swimwear.

Compared to nylon, it has excellent chlorine resistance against the active chlorine that is contained in pool water.

  • Resistant to chlorine used in pools

Most pools contain a small amount of active chlorine to keep water clean. This chlorine damages most types of swimwear. Typical nylon has low chlorine resistance, which causes discoloration.

A.H.Y.™ has excellent color fastness due to cationic dyeing and is resistant to chlorine found in pool water.

  • Excellent compatibility with polyurethane

Polyurethane is necessary for swimwear but it does not work well with disperse dye.

A.H.Y.™ is cationic dyeable under normal pressure and display colors beautifully even when the fabric contains polyurethane. Therefore, swimwear does not fade even after repeated washing (excellent fastness). Colors do not bleed onto other fabrics (dye migration ), which means towels, T-shirts, and other garments will not become inadvertently stained.

UNDERWAEAR

A.H.Y.™ is an ideal material for underwear.

A.H.Y.™ has better color tone and sheen than viscose . It has a soft and moist texture and also excellent fastness (washing, chlorine, light and sweat etc.)

Bright and soft like viscose

It has a beautiful luster and softness like viscose due to the special polymers used in A.H.Y.™ .

  • Does not bleed as easily as viscose

It is cationic dyeable and has better wet friction fastness and sublimation fastness properties than viscose.

Easier handling than viscose

  • Color management is easier so color variance between lots can be eliminated.
  • The yarn is strong and not hairy so there is little occurrence of defects.

SWEATER

A.H.Y.™ is an ideal material for sweaters.

It can be conjugated with natural fibers and lame/acetate.

Easy care

Extremely fashionable material

As A.H.Y.™ is cationic dyeable under normal pressure, it is ideal for conjugation with natural fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, lame, and acetate.

Easy Finishing Treatment

  • This material has excellent compatibility with Hoffman setting.
  • It is also highly embossable and pleatable.

TRIMMING MATERIAL

A.H.Y.™ is ideal for trimming material (woven label, embroidery thread, tape, braids, etc.)

In addition to bright coloring and its soft drape, it also has superior color fastness.

Bright and soft like viscose

It has a beautiful luster and softness like viscose due to the specialized polymers used in A.H.Y.™ .

  • Better color fastness than viscose.

It is cationic dyeable and has better color fastness properties than viscose.

Easier handling than viscose

Compared to rayon:

  • Color management is easier so color variance between lots can be eliminated.
  • The yarn is strong and not hairy so there is little occurrence of defects.

This material is used in various fashion and textile applications.

  • Woven label
  • Embroidery thread
  • Ribbon, tape, and braids

OPAL FINISHING

A.H.Y.™ opal curtain is ideal for interior design applications due to its safety and function.

The opal curtain, made from 100% polyester, is also fireproofed.

Excellent flame resistance

The opal curtains can be treated for improved flame resistance upon request. This is not possible with cotton or viscose opal material.

Compliant with flame resistance standards

Japan Fire Retardant Association: Classification (A) label

Home Laundry possible

The 100% polyester opal curtains have excellent dimensional stability and can be washed using household washing machines. It is easy to use and maintain.

No fading

Polyester has excellent light fastness, so the curtains do not fade despite long-term exposure to light.
