Made from ethylene, Mitsubishi Chemical's ethanol is a synthetic alcohol having 95% and 99% anhydrous grades. It is high purity with very low impurity content other than water, and is therefore suitable for medical and cosmetic applications. Other representative uses are as an industrial raw material for detergents, paints, solvents, etc.

95% and 99% are available depending on the application.

Because our synthetic ethanol is made from high purity ethylene using a high selectivity catalyst, our ethanol is very high purity.  Impurities other than water are extremely low-level.
Therefore, both ethanol products do not have odors due to organic impurities.

Moreover, the 99% product is very high purity because it is made from the 95% product using a highly efficient drying solvent.
This means that our synthetic ethanol products are well-suited for medical and cosmetic products in addition to fuel and industrial applications.
