We launched the ALPOLIC business in 1971 and major applications were for sign boards and housing materials around that time. ALPOLIC has been recognized in its advantages of high rigidity and superior flatness since the beginning. In the 1980s, we set up a continuous coating line for aluminum coils, and thanks to the coating quality, the features of ALPOLIC were upgraded. Since the 1990s when we completed the improvement of fire retardant plastic core material, ALPOLIC has been widely used as a wall cladding material instead of a solid aluminum panel. In the early 2000s, we started to develop stainless and titanium composite sheets and also added many other color options of our products to meet demand for more attractive designs. Mitsubishi Chemical's ALPOLIC has been in the confidence of customers over 40 years around the world and continues to be a world leading ACM.
