Upgraded Cleansui Water Purifier on Sale in China

Mitsubishi Rayon Group company MRC Home Products Co., Ltd. on October 20 launched its Cleansui Q601 model home-use water purifier on the Chinese market. The company has also started operation of a call center in China to enable more quickly and more effective handling of customer inquiries.
On September 25, a well-attended product announcement party was held at Shanghai’s Skyway Landis Hotel, at which the company introduced the Cleansui Q601 to dealers and other business partners ahead of its market launch.
Tap water in China is generally cloudy, and the taste in most areas of the country is reported to be less than satisfactory. Most water purifiers on sale in China at the moment employ activated carbon only, as a result of which they are capable of improving the taste of the water, but cannot entirely remove microorganisms or other impurities that cause cloudiness. MRC Home Products already sells the standard version of the Cleansui unit on the Chinese market. The product enjoys high approval levels thanks to its ability to remove microorganisms and other impurities through the use of hollow fiber membranes. Following on from this, the Cleansui Q601 has been developed specifically to combat the water purity problems encountered in China. Because of the higher levels of water cloudiness compared with Japanese tap water, the filtration cartridge life is shorter when used in China, and to solve this problem the Q601 is fitted with a new cartridge featuring double hollow-fiber membrane filters.
Product Features
High-performance hollow-fiber membrane filters specially developed to meet the needs of Chinese market
Primary filters: These are replaceable hollow-fiber membrane filters that are easily removable for repeated cleaning.
These filters can remove particles such as coarse impurities, red rust, lead and so on, and prevent early clogging of secondary filters.
Secondary filters (cartridges): Made of three different filter materials
Material No. 1: Nonwoven cloth – removes large particles
Material No. 2: Activated carbon – Removes chlorine and other chemicals that cause unpleasant odors
Material No. 3: Hollow-fiber membranes – can remove particles including red rust and lead with diameters of 0.1 of a micrometer or larger
Note: The filters have the advantage of not removing beneficial minerals dissolved in tap water.
Adapter set enables fitting to Chinese faucets
The water purifier unit comes with a set of five adapters to match the different types of faucet found in China. The unit can thus easily be fitted to almost all faucets.
Easy replacement of filter cartridges
The filter cartridges can be easily replaced without the need for tools.
