Procedures Completed for Acquisition of Aldila, Inc (U.S.)

　
 On December 5, 2012, Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. announced its intention to acquire Aldila, Inc. (“Aldila”).  We herewith announce that all procedures required for the acquisition were completed on March 29, 2013. The official effective time of the acquisition is April 1, 2013.  
 
 Through this acquisition, we create synergies between one of the world’s leading premium brand Aldila and our existing brands, Diamana, Fubuki, and Bassara with an aim to further grow our business in the North American carbon fiber golf shafts market.
 
 Also, by acquisition of the carbon fiber Prepreg business of Aldila, we aim to strengthen the intermediate materials business in North America together with Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites, Inc., which is our competence center for carbon fiber and composites business in the U.S.
