Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc. (head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; president: Hiroshi Yoshida) has opened a local office in Taipei in order to strengthen its customer service and sales support, focusing on manufacturers of LCDs and semiconductors in Taiwan, with the goal of expanding its information and electronics business in Taiwan.

MPI sells electronics materials used in the LCD and semiconductor industries. Its ALSET™ plastics film-metal composite material in particular is rated highly as a reflector for LCD monitors, for its high reflectivity and for being very easy to work with. It is used widely, mainly by a large number of LCD manufacturers.
MPI has opened a local office in Taiwan in order to meet the needs of its customers in Taiwan and enhance its marketing of electronics materials in this country, by building an organization to support local manufacturers in Taiwan that is more closely tied to the region.

MPI will further accelerate its business growth in electronics materials markets in Asia, where further growth is expected, with the goal of further expanding its information and electronics business.
