World's No. 1 Recording Media Verbatim®
Implementing a Collaborative Campaign with Idol Group AKB48
"Go ahead, make a record! AKB4800!"
Mitsubishi Kagaku Media Co., Ltd.

For a full-scale introduction of its own global brand "Verbatim" in the Japanese market, Mitsubishi Kagaku Media Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Minato-ku, President: Shigenori Otsuka) is implementing a collaborative campaign "Go ahead, Make a record! AKB4800!" during the period of November 16 to December 31 with the Idol Group "AKB48", which is active throughout the world.

The theme of the campaign is "Make a record". A campaign website will be set up from which it will be possible to download a total of 4800 images consisting of photographs owned individually by members of AKB48 such as private photographs which include photographs taken by members themselves and their childhood photographs etc. The website additionally offers an original game called "National Verbatim championship". Based on the points obtained in the 3 quizzes in which you have to answer the spellings of difficult words from various fields, your very own media monster (Medimon) will appear. If you move this Medimon, you will not only enjoy battling with other participants, but will also be able to download the special contents of AKB48 along with the 4800 photographs if you beat the strongest boss monster "Strongest Batim".

Moreover, like the title "Make a Record! AKB4800!", the power packed posters in which all 4800 photographs are printed will be available in many places like Tokyo to promote the campaign. In some of the posters there will be a surprise - stickers of all 4800 photos that can be peeled off.

At the same time, a drawing for an AKB4800 campaign / original down-vest will be conducted all over Japan and these campaign gifts will be given to the lucky winners. The original down-vest is available in seven colors (green, blue, navy, purple, red, orange and yellow) as indicated in the rainbow on the package. Attach 2 product bar codes* on a special postcard or government postcard to enter. 48 people X 7 colors, total 336 people will be chosen as winners during the campaign period.

Through the supply of products that consist mainly of recording media, Verbatim changes relationships among "People and People, People and Things, People and Ideas", ensuring reliable, pleasant and rich ones.
