| MCC Establishes a New Terephthalic Acid Business Company in Singapore |

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC; Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshimitsu Kobayashi) today announced to establish a new terephthalic acid business company in Singapore, and shift a part of headquarters operations of its terephthalic acid business from Japan to Singapore, as announced on February 23, 2009.
While ensuring mobility in terms of purchasing raw materials and sales, and localization of human resources, MCC will further promote the reformation of its business structure.
