Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kanji Shono) has recently established "China Business Development Office" to further strengthen its alliance and window function of the business with China by Mitsubishi Chemical Group companies as the company shifts to consolidated management.
Based on consistent basic recognition that China is the most important customer and partner, Mitsubishi Chemical Group companies have long exported and imported various fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, pharmaceutical products, chemical raw materials, and various plastics and developed a wide range of businesses such as production of various chemicals and resins and licensing of manufacturing technologies and services.
In recent years, while Mitsubishi Chemical Group companies have expanded their local offices and sales bases in China, their business bases and region have increasingly expanded through manufacturing and sales of various chemical products by means of joint ventures with local companies and they have various plans for business development also in the future.
With this as a background, to further promote their business with China, where its globalization should accelerate as the country becomes a member of the WTO and it is expected to substantially develop as the world's base of production and sales, we have established the "China Business Development Office".
