The Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation are
proud to announce the introduction of Alnert
Dry Syrup (a new form of Alnert), a cerebrovascular type psychiatric symptom improving
agent. The scientific name for the product is bifemelane hydrocyloride.
The Alnert cerebrovascular type
psychiatric symptom improving agent was developed byMitsubishi Chemical Corporation.
It has been shown to be particularly effective in the treatment of decreased motivation
due to the aftereffects of cerebral infarctions or encephalorrhagia. Alnert
tablets and Alnert granules were
introduced to the market in Dec. 1987.
Treatment for the cerebrovascular ailments such as cerebral infarctions and encephalorrhagia
tends to be required for an extended period. Tablets are difficult to swallow
for these patients and the granular form is bitter and difficult to take for the
elderly. Alnert Dry Syrup was developed
to reduce bitterness and make it easier for patients to take.
Mitsubishi Chemical produces this medicine, and promotion and sales are handled
by Fujisawa Pharmaceutical.
