Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC; Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President Masayuki Waga) today announced the consolidation of two Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials AG*-affiliated companies, with Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Composites Japan Ltd. (MCAMCJ) merging into Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Japan Ltd. (MCAMJ), effective April 1.

MCAMJ manufactures and sells a variety of engineering plastics including MC Nylon™ for a broad range of fields such as food packaging equipment and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. MCAMCJ produces and sells glass-mat-reinforced thermoplastics, mainly in the automotive field. The consolidation of these two group companies will not only improve their competitiveness through the synergy of each company’s resources, such as personnel, information, and technologies, but also take the MCC Group’s plastic molding business to a new level by further accelerating the enhancement of cooperation between the newly reborn MCAMJ and MCC’s carbon fiber and composite materials business.

MCC’s wholly owned subsidiary, MCAM (Head office: Zurich, Switzerland) was renamed from Quadrant AG on April 1, 2019.
