Mechanical Completion of MMA monomer and PMMA plants in Saudi Arabia

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan, President and CEO: Hitoshi Ochi, ‘MCC’ hereafter) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Headquarters: Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, CEO: Yousef Al-Benyan, ‘SABIC’ hereafter) have been jointly working on the project of methyl methacrylate (‘MMA’) monomer and polymethyl methacrylate (‘PMMA’) in Saudi Arabia. With regard to MMA and PMMA plants of The Saudi Methacrylates Company a Joint Venture company between MCC and SABIC, MCC hereby announces that those plants have been mechanically completed as scheduled. Following the successful Mechanical Completion, Commissioning phase will be commenced and commercial operations are planned to start in the middle of 2017.
